Tim McFlynn PC

We are based in Aspen, but we will travel wherever our services are required.  And we have relationships with many veteran mediators and arbitrators with special expertise in real estate, construction, intellectual property, securities and other types of commercial dispute resolution.

Tim McFlynn is a professional mediator and managing director of Aspen Dispute Resolution founded in 1999. Born and raised in Lake Forest, IL, he received BA and JD degrees from Stanford University in the mid-60s. He then practiced in California as a civil rights lawyer with foundation-funded public interest law firms, following four years as a special prosecutor of public corruption and white-collar crime for the LA County District Attorney. He also founded and serves as Executive Director of Public Counsel of the Rockies.  For many years, he also participated in a number of television and film projects and is a member of the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild.

Since relocating to Colorado in 1987, Tim has been an active nonprofit board member and community leaders. He co-founded and serves as a Trustee of the Pitkin County Open Space and Trails Program and co-founded and serves as a Director of The Manaus Fund.  He also has served as Board President of Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, Wilderness Workshop, Land and Water Fund of the Rockeis (Western Resource Advocates), and Western Conservation Foundation.  Tim is married, has five children and eight grandchildren, and lives on a small horse ranch in Old Snowmass.
